CUAC General Secretary Visits Peet Memorial Training College

- February 07, 2025

Rev. Richard A. Burnett, the General Secretary of the Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Community, visited Peet Memorial Training College on 7th February 2025 at 12 pm. Mrs. Katherine Burnett, his wife, also accompanied him. The Colleges and Universities of the Anglican Communion (CUAC) was formed as a worldwide association of Anglican colleges and universities of higher education as a result of an International Conference of representatives assembled at Canterbury in 1993 (Christ Church College, UK) to be a continuing association in the spirit of mutual respect, reciprocity, and support to enhance international/intercultural understanding through education, examine issues of values within the context of church-related higher education, and examine further the potential within the Anglican Communion to serve God and the world more effectively, imaginatively, and creatively. The session started at 12:15 after visiting different parts of the college and the reception at the college office. The event started with a variety of programs. Dr. Sony Mary Varghese welcomed the distinguished guests. Rev. Richar A. Burnett delivered the address to the college, and Mrs. Katherine Burnett also delivered the address to the college. There was an interactive address with students after the speech. Many guests, including officials and parishioners from the CSI Christ Church, Mavelikara, attended the program. The college officials presented a memento as a token of love for the college. Dr. Velayudhan T. Nair delivered a vote of thanks to the session. The program ended at 01:30 pm.
