'Ethirineram', the Children's Day celebration of the Peet Memorial Training College National Service Scheme was held on 14th November 2024 at 10:00 am at Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre, Puthiyakavu, Mavelikara. Rev. Vinod Eshow, the Manager of Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre welcomed the NSS volunteers and other distinguished guests and introduced them to the institution. He also emphasised the importance of special care for disabled learners and how to care for disabled students in our society as a teacher. Dr Mumtas S, the Assistant Professor and the Programme Officer of the NSS unit and Mr Biju David, the Staff representative addressed felicitations to the NSS volunteers and the students of Jyothis Special School. The oath-taking ceremony of office bearers of the Jyothis Special School was held on this occasion after the election for the first time. 

The variety of programmes held related to 'Ethirineram' Children's Day celebrations such as the Fancy dress competition by the Jyothis special school students and the special programmes like solo and group songs and the group dance. The prize distribution of the Fancy dress competition was held on this occasion. Ms Arya A.R, the Student coordinator addressed the students and volunteers for the experience sharing and Mr Sefon Sanu Mathew remarked vote of thanks to the students and the NSS volunteers. The programme ended at 1:10 pm with refreshments and a Children's Day rally with students of the Jyothis Special School.
