NSS DAY Celebration & Orientation Programme

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Peet Memorial Training College celebrated NSS Day on 24th September 2024 at the College Auditorium at 10:00 AM. Dr. Azser R.N. (State NSS Officer, Kerala State NSS Cell) inaugurated the NSS day celebrations. He pointed out how a responsible volunteer can contribute to society and the country, especially student-teachers pursuing a B.Ed. Life. Dr Alie Molly Verghis, Principal of Peet Memorial Training College presided over the session and Shri. Poulouse Koshy (Vice President of the Alumni Association, Peet Memorial Training College) delivered the felicitation. Dr Mumthas S (NSS Programme Officer) delivered the welcome speech and Ms Arya A.R. delivered a Vote of Thanks to the session. The NSS day celebration session ended at 11:20 AM.
The Orientation Programme for First year NSS volunteers was held at 11:30 AM and led by Dr Azser R.N. (State NSS Officer, Kerala State NSS Cell). He pointed out how an NSS volunteer to be socially committed to the College, society and the Country. He spoke about how an NSS volunteer can connect with NSS activities within time constraints. He highlighted some projects and activities of the NSS that can be applied in NSS units such as campus-oriented activities, school-related activities, health-oriented activities, environmental protection activities and so on. He put forward that there is a need for creative projects shall be implemented which will help for the model for the society. This session was an interactive mode session in which NSS volunteers actively participated in the session. Mr. Joyal Joseph delivered feedback for the Orientation session and Ms. Sethulekshmi delivered a Vote of thanks. The Orientation session ended at 01:30 PM.
After the session, Dr Allie Molly Verghis presented the memento for the gratitude and token of love in the name of the College and the NSS unit.
