The 78th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2024 at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara. Flag Hoisting was done at 9 am by Dr Alie Molly Verghis, and she delivered a speech regarding the importance of freedom and how teachers can be involved in the nation-building process. After flag hoisting, a series of programmes such as Patriotic Song Competition, Group Song, Pencil Drawing Competition and Quiz Competition was conducted as part of Independence Day.

 Ethirineram' Children's Day Celebration @ Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre, Mavelikara - November 14, 2024 'Ethirineram', the Children's Day celebration of the Peet Memorial Training College National Service Scheme was held on 14th November 2024 at 10:00 am at Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre, Puthiyakavu, Mavelikara. Rev. Vinod Eshow, the Manager of Jyothis Special School and Therapy Centre welcomed the NSS volunteers and other distinguished guests and introduced them to the institution. He also emphasised the importance of special care for disabled learners and how to care for disabled students in our society as a teacher.
